Functions


The Java Room is a popular space to hold functions. We are able to handle up to 40 people either on our beautiful veranda or inside our intimate dining room. If you have a function to organize, please give us a call and we are happy to show you why The Java Room is the preferred site. There are not many function sites where you are still allowed to BYO Wine, especially in Parnell. We can design menus to fit your budget and taste. The Java Room has held several cocktail functions as well, including a wedding party.

The Java Room can also accommodate outdoor catering at your home or at a location selected by you. Hooi Hing, the host, was a Function Manager for Sheraton Auckland (now Langham). He has years of experience in organizing catering at the highest level.

Group Dining

For groups having a get together we also have for you two dining options. You can select either Option A for our excellent value for money Set Menu or Option B, a selection of our popular dishes.

We recommend a flexible set menu for group bookings of 12 or more people

Select 4 to 6 mains from our main menu

As a guide, select different flavors and meat eg:

A fish dish
A pork dish

A stir fry dish
A prawn dish
A beef dish

(please do not select any fried rice or noodles dishes)

served with steamed jasmine rice

Group booking policy:

Please feel free to discuss other set menu options if budget does not suit.

One bill per table policy applies unless arrange prior with us.

Person making the booking will accept full responsibilities of any bill discrepancies.
